The Society was formed in 1849.
The first Volume was in four parts - Part I to July, 1850 was published in 1850; the remainder was published in 1857 covering the period to December, 1855.
Volume 2 (parts V-VII) published in 1864 covered from December, 1855 to December, 1862.
Volume 3 consisted of Parts VIII to XI and XII which was in two divisions. It was published in 1885 and covered from January, 1863 to 1885.
A New Series commenced in 1887.
